SC Midlands Summit

The South Carolina sun is hot, so come inside for this wonderful event! The SC Midlands Summit is a two day conference focused on the use of Google Apps for Education, Web 2.0 tools, and technology integration in the classroom. Topics covered will include Google Docs, Forms, mobile apps for tablets, and other tools like Picasa and Blogger. You can learn how to become a Chromebook Ninja and discover what makes Chromebooks such a great option for anybody that finds themselves living in the cloud.

This event is for K-12 educators, administrators, and IT staff.


What does registration cost and include?
Non-refundable registration costs $25 for two days. You can transfer your registration to someone else if you are unable to attend. Purchase orders are not accepted. Lunch is not included in the cost, but student organizations will be providing inexpensive lunch options on each day.


Who will be presenting?
We will have presenters from Google along with Google Certified Trainers and Teachers on hand to share their expertise with us. Jaime Casap, the Google Education Evangelist, will be our keynote speaker! Helen Barrett, the ePortfolio guru, will be on hand for a session on digital storytelling using mobile devices as well as sessions on ePortfolio creation. Ken Shleton, Apple Distinguished Educator and Google Certified Teacher, will be share classroom ideas with technology integration. As we confirm our presenters, you can read about them on our site.


Lunch will be available on site for purchase. Please bring CASH to purchase lunch options.
